Boat Repairs on the Thames: About Us
Favourites for boat repairs, we are a well-established boat yard situated on a quiet, pedestrian only island in Twickenham. Here at Eel Pie Island Slipways Ltd our loyal team of welders, engineers, shipwrights, and painters have been with us for many years and take a great deal of pride in turning around sad old ladies to shining bright stunners.
You are welcome to stay on board whilst work is being carried out, and pets are welcome. We can tow you to our boat yard with our own tug, so there really is nothing you need to worry about. Our warm and friendly environment has been established for over 30 years. Providing services to domestic and commercial boats alike, our two main slips can accommodate vessels of up to 40 meters in length and 6 meters beam. Ours is a heavy commercial boat yard that specialises in Dutch barges, pleasure boats and conversions. There is a maximum tonnage of 170, and our smaller slipway will take vessels up to 7 meters.
Boat Hire
Our hire fleet consists of one small passenger launch and 3 tugs.
Our launch carries a maximum of 12 persons and is suitable for Weddings, sight seeing, film work and Scattering Ashes. We operate every day except Bank Holidays. Ideal for ferrying Bridal Party from Church to reception.
